Some Stuff to Bring for Fall / Winter Camping

Fall and winter camping is the way to go. For real.

Here’s some items to consider bringing to make you an elite boss of the off-season.

  • Sleeping bag

  • Packs of hand and foot warmers. Like these

  • Warm socks

  • Moisture wicking long underwear

  • Gloves / mitts

  • Rain pants

  • Rain jacket

  • Fleece

  • Quick-dry t-shirt

  • Waterproof hiking boots or Rainboots

  • Quick-dry towels. Kinda like these

  • Indoor entertainment that is not a phone: Board / card games, a good book. A card game like Dutch Blitz will also keep you warm with rage.

  • Warm drinks: Tea / coffee / hot chocolate etc

  • Hot water bottle: Old-school? Yes. But once you’ve put one in your sleeping bag, you’ll get what we’re saying.

  • Electric heated blanket: If you’re at a powered campsite, you can plug the van in and then have unlimited electricity to fire up an electric heated blanket like this. Soooo good. Over or under a sleeping bag. Chefs kiss.
